2014 Honda CR-V Review- Just Another Dull Redesign

We are being treated to a new version of the Honda CR-V along with an update to the old SUV. Honda have said that they are going to give the car a refinement as opposed to a huge redesign, so there isn’t a great deal to get over excited about.

However there is good news in that the CR-V is a great car to drive, but then the bad news is that it also happens to be a boring car to drive. It does do the job well, but it doesn’t offer anything that makes the driver feel as though they are having any fun.

This could be a good and a bad thing. It is good in that it is reliable and sturdy. However this can make it boring. But then boring can be a good thing, if you are driving your family around. The car gets powered easily thanks to the 2.2 litre engine and there is a petrol version. It steers well and handles well on and off-road, but not too far off-road.

The interior of the car isn’t as boring as it is on the exterior. It comes with some finishing touches that are refined and which some of the premium brands don’t offer. The car is sturdy and so it should be able to deal with whatever the kids throw its way and the boot is large.

The Honda CR-V comes in with a starting price of £30, 995.
