With the recent official acquisition of Motorola Mobility by Google, there is now a bigger possibility that we could see Motorola take a leap forward in the Android race where it currently falls behind Samsung.
Atrix 3: First Motorola quad-core Android 4.0 ICS phone?
Now some recent pictures of a supposed Motorola phone render have showed up on Concept Phones, except that the phone actually looks too real to just be render. According to the post, this Android phone nicknamed “Atrix 3” will boast a HD display, 10-megapixel camera, 3300mAh battery, quad-core Tegra 3 processor and 2GB RAM.
While these specs sound like a dream come true, they aren’t so far fetched. For starters, the 10-megapixel camera is highly possible given that Motorola already sells 13-megapixel camera-packing phones in China. Furthermore, squeezing a 3,300mAh battery into the next Motorola phone is no biggie given the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX with its 3,000mAh battery already available on the market.
As for the quad-core processor, that appears to be the way things are going for the next-generation of smartphones e.g. Samsung Galaxy S3 and LG X3. However just like all rumors, we suggest taking this with a huge grain of salt. After all, it does look a lot like a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with the Motorola logo slapped on (although we assume all Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phones will end up looking something like this eventually given the introduction of software buttons).
