We have just received reports that a new Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus update has just rolled out to a couple of users. Not much is known about it at this time but we’ve received word from one of our readers that it has a new bootloader. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.

Update: It appears that Reddit user Kauthor47 has gone ahead and made the OTA update available for download. Here is his statement:
“An update showed up for a couple of users and one person pulled the update file from his /cache partition. This is built on Android 4.0.4, and includes new radios. Be warned, it also includes a new bootloader. I’m curious about why they’d include a new bootloader so I’m raising my eyebrow and staying away until someone else can investigate it further. If any stock users are brave enough to test this out, please report back if you can still unlock your bootloader via fastboot, or if you have it unlocked and are on stock, if it remains unlocked after flashing or not. Yes, you have to be on stock software to flash this.”
