It was less than a month after the iPhone 4S was officially released that the iPhone rumor mill kicked off once again. And since then we’ve seen multiple “insider sources” report on what we can expect to see in the next-generation iPhone (iPhone 5?).
iPhone 5: Why the rumors just don’t add up
However what is really interesting is how just about every iPhone rumor out there seems to contradict with each other. All these rumors name sources close to Apple or close to the suppliers of Apple’s parts. So why doesn’t everything add up?
According to Adam Lashinsky and his new book “Inside Apple,” the Cupertino-based company sometimes puts new engineers to work on fake products. The details were later confirmed by a former Apple employee when Lashinsky spoke at LinkedIn the other day.
Here’s what the engineer said, reports BusinessInsider:
“A friend of mine who’s a senior engineer at Apple, he works on — or did work on — fake products I’m sure for the first part of his career, and interviewed for 9 months. It’s intense.”
