The release of the Samsung Galaxy S III is arguably as highly anticipated as that of the iPhone 5, so it comes as no surprise that a buzz is already building up as MWC 2012 approaches.
Samsung Galaxy S3 specs confirmed?
The latest comes way of Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin who has been dubbed the James Bond of Smartphones by Engadget. According to a tweet by Eldar, we are in for quite a treat when the Samsung Galaxy S3 hits the market: “HD resolution, 12 mpx camera, sw tweaks, android 4 – i like my new phone. Eager to see official announcement in Barcelona”
iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S scenario: Better equipped, same design
Eldar states that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will run a custom version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (TouchWiz), come equipped with a 1.5 to 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, utilize a HD Super AMOLED Plus display and come with a 12-megapixel camera. When it comes to form factor and overall looks, it will be almost identical to the Samsung Galaxy S2 so we are looking at an iPhone 4 – iPhone 4S scenario here. However given that most Android smartphones look almost identical and the Galaxy S to S2 design changes weren’t such a huge leap, we doubt the Android community would mind all that much.
Another important detail by Eldar was that there will be two versions of the Samsung Galaxy S3 – a dual-core and a quad-core. It is unclear why so we will just have to wait and see.
