AT&T has had a hectic summer. It recently announced that Ice Cream Sandwich was coming to its Galaxy S2 users, and has earlier this week told Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and Galaxy Note users that they’ll be getting ICS too.
AT&T: No ICS For Samsung Galaxy Note Or S2 Skyrocket Yet? How To Get It Now
ICS improves the user interface by making navigation more intuitive and browsing faster. New features include a Recent Apps shortcut to aid multitasking, Face Unlock, better home screen folders, an app to monitor data usage and a new notification bar.
Samsung Galaxy Note owners will see the new S-Note and some enhancements for S-Memo. This S-Memo upgrade gives users one-touch access to its features, like writing, search, voice dictation, typing and adding images. The widget can be added to any of the Note’s home screens, which makes life even easier. The S-Note enhances the S-Pen’s capabilities to make communication simpler and more professional looking. S-Pen’s new capabilities include Shape Match which improves and refines hand-drawn shapes, Formula Match, which recognizes and finishes complex maths formulae, and Knowledge Search, which lets the user research info straight from a handwritten note via Wolfram Alpha.
