Motorola RAZR HD MINI To Strike At Ankles Of Galaxy S3?

We’ve been hearing about the Motorola DROID RAZR HD heading to Verizon for sometime now but there is now word of a mini version of the device that may also take aim at the Samsung Galaxy S3. Read on…

Motorola DROID RAZR HD MINI to join fight against Samsung Galaxy S3 on Verizon?

The rumor mill is about to get cranked up as there’s another not-quite-released-yet Motorola phone doing the rounds. This time it’s the XT907. You may be wondering what that is, and from the picture we’ve got here, it looks like one of the RAZR-style phones we’ve grown to love. It’s heading to Verizon with a 4G LTE radio on board. It’s also got a HD camera, the now-familiar Kevlar backing and looks like a hybrid of the RAZR HD and the newer Atrix HD but smaller.

Thanks to the UAProf that has come to light for a phone with the model number XT905, it’s obvious that the device has a qHD resolution with on-screen navigation keys. The resolution in the UAProf is 540×888 – a qHD display usually has 540×960, but the navigation keys take up some room, leaving enough for 888 only. There aren’t many other details, but the phone may well come in white, with a little bezel, and a Snapdragon S4 chip.

We should also point out that the original RAZR is model number XT912. That puts this device below it in the numbering scheme perhaps because of size. And as everyone knows, the RAZR HD is model number XT926. Whether this Motorola DROID RAZR HD ‘MINI’ will be able to take on the Samsung Galaxy S3 doesn’t seem clear as that task may be left to the RAZR HD, however a smaller screen device may be just what buyers want after the recent row of phonezilla releases like the S3 and HTC One X.
