According to MobileApps, many people thought the Samsung Galaxy S3 would trounce HTC after proving more popular than the One X, but it seems that HTC has an ace up its sleeve if various rumors about another upcoming superphone, the One XXL prove true.
HTC One XXL to take on Samsung Galaxy S3 (rumor)
The HTC One XXL is believed to follow on the One X and throw in a couple of extras to help combat the Samsung Galaxy S3. It’s thought it will have a 720 pixel display and a quad-core Qualcomm S4 chip. It will purportedly boast 2GB of RAM and an 8MP rear with a 1.8MP front camera. Reports of a 5.5-inch screen explain the name and also promise to dwarf the Galaxy S3 with its 4.8-inch display.
It’s the quad-core chip and the expanse of 2GB of RAM that will make this phone a dream come true for customers and a nightmare for potential competitors – including Samsung. Additionally, Motorola is apparently set to unveil its own GS3 killer the DROID RAZR HD so it looks like 2012 won’t exactly be a walk in the park for Samsung and its Galaxy S3 after all.
