There is not much to say that hasn’t already been hinted in the title. Reuters have reported that Samsung have been denied a request to have the ban lifted on the sale of their Samsung Galaxy Nexus device, by a judge. This ban was put into force last week and there was a similar ruling made against the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus remains contraband as lift of ban denied
For fans of the device this is very annoying and Samsung are sure to feel the same way too. Many believe that while the patent system has been broken, Apple have chosen to play very shady. At the moment it is unsure what patent is in question that has brought about the ban, but according to All Things D, Google do have a workaround software patch on the way very soon.
Given the denial to lift the ban, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will remain a badass as it will be running the latest Android OS (4.1 Jelly Bean) and be considered contraband at the same time.
If you are still contemplating getting a Samsung Galaxy Nexus don’t hesitate and get it while you can. The phone has already been removed from the Google Play Store and we will soon see retailers halt sales as well.
