A Chinese newspaper with the name of Apple Daily has reported that a new iPad will be launched before the end of the summer. This may not be the 7 inch device that we have all been expecting to see though. The new device is said to come with a thinner design, a better screen and a better battery.
New iPad 3.5 rumored to launch this summer
It is thought that the screen will feature indium gallium zinc oxide panel technology. The newspaper said that Apple have switched manufacturers of displays from Samsung to Sharp. However it is difficult to swallow this rumor thanks to the fact that the current iPad has only been on the market for a few months.
Nevertheless, if it is real then it would probably be revealed at the same time as when the iPhone 5 is announced, suggests MacGasm. At the moment Cupertino have not said anything so these are only rumors, the question is would you purchase a new iPad or are you happy with your current one?
On a side note, Google recently announced the Nexus 7 which is a quad-core Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet with a ridiculously low price tag of $199. It is expected to shake the tablet market up later this year alongside the Amazon Kindle Fire 2 which will reportedly boast more features over its predecessor but a smaller price tag.
