Get Samsung Galaxy S3 Now Or Wait For The Note 2?

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is top of the smartphone charts at the moment just weeks after it was released. If you haven’t yet got your hands on it, you may be considering it. However there is another device you might want to wait for and this is the Note 2 from Samsung complete with Jelly Bean, which could sway you, reports PhoneReview.

Get the Samsung Galaxy S3 now or wait to see what the Note 2 is all about?

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is dual core in the US and quad core internationally and runs ICS at the moment. With sales being great this has led to short supplies. So the blog concludes that the Galaxy Note 2 might be able to overtake it, when it is released.

The original Note has been a great success even though the large display was considered to be too big for a smartphone. It is therefore common sense that a follow up would be just as popular, if not more so. There have been rumours that the device will be revealed in September, to beat the anticipated release of the new iPhone 5.

With this being just around the corner anyone considering buying the S3 may want to wait. If rumors serve true, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will feature a 5.5 inch screen which will also be Super AMOLED and this of course is bigger than the original and a lot larger than the screen of the S3. It is thought that the handset will share the looks of the S3 but it may be slimmer than the previous model.

Specs have been conflicting with some saying that is will have a processor that is quad core and a 12 megapixel camera. However other sources are saying that it could be the ARM 15 dual core processor with an 8 megapixel camera and 2GB of RAM.

At the recent I/O the latest OS was revealed as being Jelly Bean, this is thought to be released in July of 2012 and the Galaxy Nexus is the first device to come with it pre-installed. Therefore it makes sense that if the Note 2 is coming out around September, it will have the latest OS. As for the Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung states we can expect the JellyBean update to only roll out sometime in Q4 2012. Given Samsung’s reputation with updates, we woudln’t hold our breath.
