Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will be released as OTA updates around the middle of July for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and Xoom. However if you want to get your hands on the Jelly Bean ROM before then, you can, thanks to a member over at the XDA forum. The ROM can be flashed on existing GSM devices through the ClockworkMod Recovery. However bear in mind that there could be bugs.

The update does bring many new features despite the fact that it is not a revolutionary update. Users can get their hands on Google Now, an improved home screen and camera application, among many others. if you have your device rooted and have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your handset, then follow the steps below to install Jelly Bean on your Galaxy Nexus:
Download and flash ClockwordMod Recovery; Download the JellyBean image, root fix and radio and put all files in the root directory of your Galaxy Nexus; Switch your device off and back on while holding down the volume down and power buttons and this will take you into ClockworkMod Recovery; Take an Android back up of your handset; From the main menu of CWM wipe all your data, do a factory reset and then wipe Dalvik cache; Select install zip from your SD card > choose zip from SD card > select JellyBean zip that was downloaded and which you put on the SD card in step 2; Repeat step 6 but this time flash the radio file; Repeat step 6 and flash the root fix. This step is not needed if you are not looking to remain rooted once you have the update
And after flashing the three files choose reboot system from the CWM main screen and boot right into Android 4.1 on your Galaxy Nexus and enjoy.
