Rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is on the way appears to have now been confirmed by Samsung themselves. The rumors which started a few months ago had everyone very skeptical about the device, until now that is.

Samsung Mobile Arabia tweets about Samsung Galaxy Note 2 prematurely

Samsung have not commented on the rumors but an official tweet from Samsung Mobile Arabia asked, “Which one of these are you excited about, the Galaxy Tab 2 or Galaxy Note 2? While Samsung Mobile Arabia is of course not the official channel for the company, that region was the first to see the Samsung Galaxy S3 hit stores semi-officially and hence it makes sense that if there is a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, that Samsung Mobile Arabia would know about it.

Samsung have admitted that more than 7 million units of the current Galaxy Note having shipped since the launch of the device in 2011. There have been rumors that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will build on this popularity and have a larger screen than its predecessor, probably around 5.5 inches. It has also been said that it will come with a 12 megapixel camera and the Exynos 4 quad core processor found on the Samsung Galaxy S3. Software wise it will have the S Pen and numerous applications that have been optimized to work with the stylus. The operating system may be Jellybean Android 4.1 which will is expected to be revealed at the Google I/O.
