Forget Galaxy S3, New BlackBerry Touchscreen Beats iPhone 4S Too (CNET)

A reputed specs leak has shown that RIMs new touch screen comes with a higher resolution than the screen on the Apple iPhone 4S, reports CNET.

BlackBerry 10 handset to feature better touchscreen display than iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S3

Leaked specs of the Blackberry 10 line reveal a new all touch Blackberry with a screen resolution that is higher than the Retina screen of the iPhone 4S and the top Android rival the Samsung Galaxy S3. The leaked specs have included details of the Blackberry 10 L series which is a touch screen handset and the N series which comes with a traditional physical QWERTY keyboard that the Blackberry is well known for.

The L series handsets come with a screen resolution of 768 x 1280 and a screen that is 55 mm in width. The N series has a 52 – 53 mm screen with 720p resolutions, shown on an internal document, which also shows photos of the layouts of the phones.

RIM have had nothing but bad news recently and the latest blow is the fact that a delay in the debut of the Blackberry 10 line could come about due to fiscal problems, with the company possibly having to shed 90% of their workforce in order for them to survive. Originally Blackberry 10 was scheduled for release in the fall.

This of course isn’t the first full touchscreen BlackBerry phone. The BlackBerry Torch takes that title and continues to sell decently within the BlackBerry community.
