We’ve seen numerous reviews and comparisons pitting the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the iPhone 4S against one another and everytime, the Samsung Galaxy S3 wins. However here is one instance where the iPhone 4S comes up on top despite its age.
There have been many drop test videos uploaded online and while they are clear destruction of the phones on test, they are fun to watch. A drop test video has been recently uploaded which puts the iPhone 4S against the Samsung Galaxy S3. But which of the two phones come out on top? Not that you would want to drop either of them, let’s find out.
Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 4S: Drop Test
Bearing in mind that the Samsung Galaxy S3 comes protected by way of Gorilla Glass 2 which does not seem to react very well to the drop tests we’ve seen to date, don’t be surprised by the video or results.
The first test was dropping the handset from the ear. Both phones make a satisfying clunk when dropped onto concrete. We see the glass cracked on the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the casing damaged on the iPhone 4S.
The phones are also subjected to damage by children who joyfully throw the handsets into the air and then giggle as they crunch and shatter onto the pavement. The iPhone’s screen cracks while the S3 loses its battery and cover. In the final test the phones fall off the roof of a car, with the iPhone suffering minor damage while the S3 screen is totally shattered.
The moral of the story is keep a tight grip of your phone and certainly never let your children toss it into the air when standing on concrete. Also, if you decide to buy a Samsung Galaxy S3 make sure to get increased protection in terms of a case or insurance.
