Samsung have been teasing us with their flexible display for quite a while now and fans of the technology cannot wait to get their hands on phones with such a screen. TheDroidGuy reports that rumor has it that the company will be releasing their Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with such a display some time before the end of 2012.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 rumors: S3 chipset, flexible screen
Not only will the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 have a flexible display, it will also be packed with even more goodies. TDG adds that the device will come with a 1.4 GHz quad core processor like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Exynos chipset with 1.5 GB of RAM. The flexible display is said to be a 5.3 inch Super AMOLED and it will have a whopping 12-megapixel camera. It should also be running the Android 5.0 Jellybean update right out of the box.
The current Samsung Galaxy Note is a hot seller and if the rumors are true and its successor does get the flexible screen, it would surely blow all other handsets clear out of the water. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will purportedly be released sometime around Halloween this year and share a lot of the hardware we see in the current Samsung Galaxy S3.
Given that analysts predict the “phablet” market will grow in 2012, Samsung will need to up its game since the original Galaxy Note didn’t have any competition at the time of its release. More on this as it develops.
