Forget What You’ve Seen, Here’s The Real Samsung Galaxy S3

When the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S3 were revealed many were disappointed that the handset failed to offer an upgrade of RAM to the previous version of the phone. Samsung apparently thought that 1GB RAM was plenty, but users thought more would be better. Those in the US were lucky as Samsung revealed that they would get a version with 2GB RAM but without the quad core processor. Now according to GSMArena, a new version heading for Korea will give the best of both worlds with 2GB RAM and quad core.

The latest version for the Korean market has the model number SHV-E210S and it is thought to be in competition with the LG Optimus LTE2. LG were quick off the mark with the announcement of their new smartphone just one day after Samsung announced their Galaxy S3. LG focused on the fact that they were offering 2GB RAM with the Optimus LTE2, which will also be a Korean only handset.

The Korean version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 remains the same as the device going out to the rest of the world. The processor is the Exynos 4412 chipset that comes with an additional third party LTE chip. It also has a screen of 4.8 inches Super AMOLED HD and the camera is 8 megapixels. There is the lack of a 16GB version of the handset, this time around only the 32GB is available and the handset will be slightly thicker than that of the 3G version.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available in Korea in July 2012 and as yet the price tag of the phone has yet to be announced. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
