The Samsung Galaxy S3 was officially debuted earlier this month and with it we saw an end to all the rumors. While we did get the 4.8-inch display and quad-core Exynos processor, it was not ‘perfect’. The Samsung Galaxy S3 drew criticism for going with a Pentile display, and the quad-core Exynos processor may end up being swapped for a dual-core variant here in the US in order to make it compatible with LTE bands.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3: a mixed bag of reactions
In addition to these two key features getting tainted, earlier rumors of a 12-megapixel camera, 2GB RAM and ceramic case were shutdown as well. Nevertheless, all this was due to the false hype originally built up by speculators and in no way Samsung’s fault. If anything, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will remain unaffected and still sell extremely well despite the initial mixed reactions (remember the iPhone 4S launch?).
However if you’re somewhat put off by the exterior styling of the Samsung Galaxy S3, or find the hardware upgrades not enough to consider switching your phone just yet, here are 3 more Verizon phones rumored to hit the number one carrier in the US sometime this year:
Upcoming Verizon phones rumored to join Galaxy S3 this year:: iPhone 5, Motorola DROID RAZR HD & Samsung Galaxy Note
Samsung Galaxy Note: Starting off with a current hot seller on the market, the Samsung Galaxy Note exclusivity on AT&T appears to be running out as we’ve already seen a T-Mobile variant leaked. The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note has been tipped to be call the ‘Galaxy Journal’ and come with LTE bands.
iPhone 5: Whether its June or October, the iPhone 5 is expected to land sometime this year. The next-generation Apple phone is rumored to come with a bigger screen, LTE, more powerful processor and a 12-megapixel shooter.
Motorola DROID RAZR HD: Rumored to basically be a DROID RAZR MAXX with a larger HD display, ICS keys and 13MP camera, it will become Motorola’s new flagship model and go head to head with the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3.
