Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3: Can We Count On One?

With Samsung officially taking the wraps of the Samsung Galaxy S3, we can expect the top carriers in the US to shortly announce the availability of what is arguably the most anticipated Android smartphone of 2012.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3: is there one planned?

Given just how popular the Samsung Galaxy S3 is, one would assume that it would be making its way to all the top carriers in the US. However this may not necessarily be the case as we saw just last year when the biggest carrier in the US, Verizon Wireless, skipped out on the Samsung Galaxy S2.

At the time, rumors suggested that the reason for Verizon skipping on Samsung’s flagship device was because they secured an exclusivity with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. So there is the chance once again that Verizon may overlook the Samsung Galaxy S3 for some other Android that it thinks could sell better.

Upcoming Verizon Android phones to rival Samsung Galaxy S3

A couple of possibilities include a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note variant (Galaxy Journal) 5-inch HTC Android phone/tablet, Motorola DROID RAZR HD and Verizon’s version of the HTC One X which has yet to be announced.

The HTC ‘phablet’ and Samsung Galaxy Note would feature unmatched screen sizes, while the rumored Motorola DROID RAZR HD a 12MP camera and 3,300mAh battery among other possibilities.

Of course, Samsung may have realized its mistake after the worldwide sales success of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and won’t repeat the mistake again no matter how many other flagships it has planned.
