As we move further into 2012, the number one carrier in the US – Verizon, is expected to add a long list of new smartphones to its lineup. If you’re due for an upgrade this year, then you will be excited to hear that some star favorites are expected to land on Verizon Wireless in the coming months. Here is a roundup of the top upcoming Verizon phones rumored for 2012.
Upcoming Verizon Phones 2012: Samsung Galaxy S3, Motorola DROID RAZR HD, Samsung Galaxy Note, White Galaxy Nexus (rumors)
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3: Kicking things off with the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S3, Verizon users may be getting the highly anticipated S3 as early as June. Last year, Verizon Wireless skipped out on the Galaxy S2 for the Galaxy Nexus however this year thing may be different given that the next Nexus phone will only arrive around the December holidays..
Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note (Journal): This rumor has been floating around for months now and word is that Verizon hasn’t gotten their hands on the Samsung Galaxy Note just yet because AT&T has a limited time exclusivity deal on it with Samsung just like how VZW had with the Galaxy Nexus. Nevertheless, just like how we saw leaked pictures of the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note earlier last week, the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note is expected to break cover soon. Word on the street is that it will be called the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Journal.
White Samsung Galaxy Nexus: We’ve seen the international variant and we’ve also seen white parts listing for it in Verizon’s system. Given these two leaks, it should not be too far along.
Motorola DROID RAZR HD: The Motorola DROID RAZR HD is expected to give the Samsung Galaxy S3 a run for its money. With a whopping 3,300mAh battery just like its predecessor (RAZR MAXX), it has some choice upgrades such as a larger HD display, 13-megapixel camera and comes preloaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich supposedly.
Verizon iPhone 5: Expected to launch in either June or October, the Verizon iPhone 5 is expected to jump on the LTE bandwagon just like the New iPad 3 did earlier this year. No word on what upgrades it will have but word on the street is that it will boast a larger display, more powerful processor and redesigned body.
