iPhone 5: Guess What The Most Wanted Feature Is (Survey Results)

The iPhone 5 is arguably one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2012. With last year’s model breaking sales records despite criticism that it was an incremental upgrade over its predecessor, this year Apple will presumably launch an iPhone that’s built from ground up.

Most wanted iPhone 5 features

While it is impossible to know what Apple plans to incorporate into the iPhone 5, there are a couple of features which we can say are safe to assume will be making their way into the next-gen smartphones. This mainly is a more powerful processor and 4G LTE compatibility.

Now the folks over at CNET have started a survey to see which of the most rumored features consumers really want. The results are in and the winner is “Larger Screen”.

The survey recorded close to 20,000 votes and a larger screen was at the top, garnering 38 percent of these votes. Coming in second place was 4G LTE and better battery life, both at 17 percent. Other options included a “New slimmer, lighter design”, “Wireless charging”, and “A6 processor with faster graphic chip”.

Now if rumors hold true, then the iPhone 5 may come with a Retina Display measuring in anywhere between 4 and 4.6-inches. Given that its biggest competitors are on the top end (HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Galaxy S3), even at a maximum of 4.6-inches it would still come in smaller than the top Androids. This of course, is not necessarily a bad thing.
