With Apple officially announcing that WWDC 2012 will take place starting June 11th in San Francisco, it has once again kick-started rumors of a possible summer iPhone 5 release date. Now while this should be no shocker given that Apple traditionally launched its next-gen iPhone models at the conference, last year we saw Apple deviate from its routine and only launch the iPhone 4S in October. So the question is, will we see the iPhone 5 at WWDC 2012? Some bloggers believe so.
iPhone 5 name hidden inside WWDC 2012 logo?
The folks over at iPhone5NewsBlog report on a growing number of bloggers claiming that they see a hidden ‘5’ inside the official WWDC 2012 logo. Now if you’ve seen the WWDC logo (below) then you will notice that its design is somewhat strange (more ‘busy’ that what Apple usually goes with). And given that Apple is known for hiding subtle hints in their announcements, a hidden 5 isn’t so far fetched. In fact, many report seeing a ‘5S’ mentioned.
Now word on the street is that Apple will likely refer to the next-gen iPhone as the ‘New iPhone’ just like it did with the iPad ‘3’. So if this does hold true then these individuals may just be seeing what they want to see.
Take a look at the two pictures below from commentators on iPhone5NewsBlog who have tried and highlighted the ‘5’ they see. Did you notice it in the same place before it was outlined? Or do you see something else entirely? Sound off in the comments below.
