The HTC One X is the Taiwanese manufacturer’s current flagship device and a quick look at its specs clearly shows why. Now as the superphone makes its way over to the US, the first carrier that looks on board is AT&T. However there may be some shortcomings in the AT&T variant.
AT&T HTC One X versus international model
As Anthanasios Zarkadas over at HTCpedia points out, given that the AT&T HTC One X will swap the Tegra 3 quad-core processor for a Snapdragon S4, it would mean that TegraZone games that are currently available and the upcoming one built for the Tegra 3 chip won’t be made available to the AT&T HTC One X here in the US.
Now there may be another area where the AT&T HTC One X is handicapped over the international model – storage space. The team over at TheDroidGuy point out that a quick check of the AT&T preorder page shows only a 16GB version. As HTC made clear at MWC 2012, the HTC One X doesn’t have expandable memory so a lack of a 32GB model is a big letdown.
Here’s hoping this is just an oversight on the part of AT&T and that we will see a 32GB AT&T HTC One X as well. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
