Well that was quick. The highly anticipated God Of War 4 game, dubbed ‘God Of War: Ascension’, has already arrived on Amazon. With a price tag of $59.99 and release date of 31st December 2012 (obviously just a guesstimate), Amazon went on to include the following caption with the trailer in the listing:
“Many know the legend of Kratos, the mortal turned god who brought down the very walls of Olympus, but there was a time before Kratos became the monster known as the Ghost of Sparta. A time when something other than rage consumed him, a time when in spite of the madness that plagued him, Kratos would break his blood oath to an unjust god, a time when he would no longer be bound in blood.”
God Of War 4: Ascension a prequel
Knowing Amazon, we suggest checking out the listing before they decide to pull the plug and take the product offline. Simultaneously, there seems to be a discussion brewing over on the Amazon page about it being a prequel. Some fans are stoked while other are disappointed. While many believe that it would be awesome to play as Kratos during his Spartan days and possibly lead his army, others are disappointed that they will have control of a less powerful hero.
What are your thoughts? Does it matter that it’s a prequel? What would you like to see in God Of War 4? Sound off in the comments below.
