The Amazon Kindle Fire is arguably the best selling Android tablet on the market at the moment as they continue to sell like hotcakes thanks to the low price tag and solid hardware.
Amazon Kindle Fire 2 rumors
Now, the latest rumors suggest that the 7-inch Kindle Fire will be supersized to something in the 9 to 10 inch range, and put it in the same range as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the ASUS Transformer Prime. In addition to these rumors that the Kindle Fire 2 will be no small flame like its predecessor, DigiTimes reports that chassis-maker Catcher Technology received orders from Amazon for a new Kindle Fire tablet already and it is set to go into production any day now.
New iPad 3, top tablet on the market
With the 9.7-inch New iPad 3 reigning the tablet market, the Amazon Kindle Fire 2 is one of the few Android tablets that may have a shot against it thanks to its extremely low entry price point and reputation (Amazon is reportedly selling the current Kindle at a loss but tries to make it up with purchases in the Amazon MP3, Books and AppStore). If The Amazon Kindle Fire 2 does truly match the New iPad 3 in terms of size and other features (e.g. front and rear camera, Bluetooth, HD Display), it will be classified as a full-fledged tablet and no doubt give the New iPad 3 a run for its money.
