The Nokia N9 is without a doubt a beautifully designed smartphone. Running MeeGo though, it isn’t the most popular of platforms.
How to install Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on the Nokia N9
The good news is that now you have a choice to install Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on it. While it does look stable, there are a couple of bugs. For one, the camera doesn’t work, the battery indicator is not accurate, and you may have some issues with the phone screen not turning off on its own when idle. Otherwise features like making calls and text messaging seem to work well.
So if you’re disappointed that Nokia has gone down the Windows Phone 7 path, leaving MeeGo developments on somewhat of a standstill, you can given Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich a try.
The steps can be found at the source link below the video but basically it will involve flashing the dual-boot kernel, installing SillyBoot, and then installing the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM.
