Famed comedian Russell Brand has spoken up on the incident where he threw an iPhone belonging to the paparazzi through an office building’s window earlier this week.
Russel Brand throws iPhone through glass window in honor of late Steve Jobs
The comedian said that he didn’t commit a crime but in fact was honoring Steve Jobs. Brand tweeted that, “Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iPhone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory.”
TMZ reports that Brand has since then offered to replace the broken window. On a side note, it is interesting that Mr. Brand noticed exactly what kind of phone was in his hands before it went on its trip through an office window. And if you’re wondering why Russel Brand was so nice as to offer paying for damaged window, that office happened to be a law firm.
New Orleans police have issued a warrant for his arrest and told TMZ a misdemeanor warrant for simple criminal damage to property was already issued last night.
