The Samsung Galaxy S3 is expected to be announced any day now however Samsung have yet to reveal any details about their flagship Android smartphone yet. Just as was with the case of the rollout of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the Samsung Galaxy S2, the announcement came from a third party (SK Telecom, a Korean carrier) before Samsung stepped in a couple of hours later and confirmed the details.
Samsung Galaxy S3 specs listed, now available for pre-order
Now we may or not be seeing something similar unfold as popular online retailer MobileCityOnline has gone ahead and put up the Samsung Galaxy S3 for pre-order. Now it is listed with a price tag of $799.99 which seems about right for an unlocked version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 ahead of its official release. And given that there is no ETA given for when the Galaxy S3 will be in stock, one would think that the retailer is just playing it safe and doesn’t know anything about the Samsung Galaxy S3 at this time. Well here is the kicker, MCO has also listed specs on the product’s page:

Now what really stands out here in addition to its being a GSM Samsung Galaxy S3 is that it has a 12-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera and a quad-core processor listed under the specs. We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
Update: MCO has updated their page to now include more specs but has now called it a rumor. Sigh. Here are the new details:
“Samsung Galaxy S III is rumored to be company’s next flagship. It is said that it will run Android 4.0, under the hood will be a Samsung developed 1.8GHz quad-core CPU with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory and a microSD slot aboard. The screen will be 4.65 inches of Super AMOLED III delight. Super AMOLED III, according to the tipster, is being developed specifically for this model.”
