Samsung Galaxy Note Got Superbowl, S3 Going For Olympic Gold This Summer?

With the Samsung Galaxy S3 skipping MWC 2012 and Samsung confirming that it would launch the flagship smartphone at a separate event dedicated to the S3 only, all eyes are on April from Sammy to break the big new.

Samsung Galaxy S3 international launch scheduled for Olympics 2012?

Now the folks over at ZDNet Korea state that their source inside Samsung’s marketing and advertising team have confirmed that they are planning a huge advertising blitz and release to line up with the 2012 Olympics in London this summer.

Given that the Samsung Galaxy Note bought a very expensive spot in the Super Bowl, it would be no surprise if Samsung’s advertising department found the summer Olympics the right way by which to internationally launch what would arguably be the best Android smartphone of 2012.

Now if the Samsung Galaxy S3 does in fact make its world debut at the Olympics in London, then we can be rest assured that UK will be one of the first countries to get the device in stores. As for the US, we may still find a few months of waiting before carriers release their own particular variants.

According to BGR, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will purportedly come with a 1.5GHz  quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, 4.8-inch full HD screen with 1080p resolution, 8-megapixel rear camera, ceramic shell, 4G LTE connectivity and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
