Earlier this week, RadioShack had announced that they would be carrying the new iPad 3 and begin with sales on March 16. Now the retailer has gone ahead and announced that they have begun taking pre-orders for the new iPad. The requirement – purchase a $50 RadioShack gift card which can then be used for the purchase of your new iPad 3 when it arrives.

In addition to putting the new iPad 3 up for pre-order, Radioshack has brought to spotlight its Trade & Save program which gives customers $350 for an iPad 2 and $175 for an original iPad as long as they are in working order. Of course, this is a pretty terrible deal when compared to the likes of eBay and CraigsList so we strongly suggest going in that direction unless you really want to walk in to a store and dispose of your tablet in a hurry.
Lastly, RadioShack customers who have a Shack Card when buying a new iPad 3 will be entitled to a $50 mail in rebate. This deal in particular ends on Saturday March 31st so act fast if you’re interested.
On a side note, the AT&T iPad 3 is reportedly already sold out.
