The Samsung Galaxy Note created quite a stir this year with its “Samsunged” commercials and its expensive Super Bowl ad. While many tech pundits have criticized it due to its humungous size and utilization of a stylus, the Samsung Galaxy Note continues to sell well overseas and the hype behind its release on AT&T was nothing minor.

However while the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note will make AT&T users happy, how about those with the number one carrier in the US, Verizon Wireless? Late last year, rumors broke out that Verizon Wireless would be getting the 5.3-inch smartphone under the name Galaxy Journal. This now looks unlikely but the folks over at Droid-Life have pointed out a petition that has started in order to get Big Red to bring the device. How a petition will accomplish this is unclear but if you’re dying to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy Note and there are enough of you, Big Red might take notice.
