The Resident Evil series is falling down the charts rapidly. What was once a title of great stature has shifted to become the joke in the gaming industry. It has been so long now since the first Resident Evil debuted and back then, many players loved the game thanks to the horrifying experience they received.
It lasted until Resident Evil 4. At that time, the franchise boast one of the biggest fan base in gaming history and ever since the 2nd trilogy commenced, it has been nothing but turmoil for the series.
Resident Evil has lost its horror genre and shifted to an all-rounded fast-paced action game. The shift appeals the new crop of gamers. On the other hand, it caused a great upset to the existing fans.
The latest is with Resident Evil 6. Majority of the fans are tired of this action-themed gameplay and calls for Capcom to revert the genre back to how it was with the first trilogy. It is unsure if the game developer put on some deaf ears but fans will find out the outcome once Resident Evil 7 gets released.
The franchise is dying and the fans over at Reddit have been spotted trying to revive it. A Resident Evil 7 logo got created by a Redditor known as LightSamus which gave the game that horror it has been missing.
It is basically a Resident Evil 7 title with that bloody red coloured all over it. The title is dark and it is enough to invite the negative energies that are able to set the mood when playing the game.
Of course, this is a fan-made logo and it is unlikely for Capcom to adopt it. As every second pass by, Resident Evil gets closer to completion. It is do or die for Capcom. The game developer will decide the fate of the game. See the logo here.
