If you are playing the Pokemon X and Y and currently trying to catch the legendary Pokemons, here are some hints for you. Legendary Pokemons can only be found in specific places and there are ways to catch them. Missing your change to catch them during the encounter would me that you will lose the change forever. So make sure you save your game before you proceed to the areas the legendary Pokemons are hiding. In case you didn’t manage to capture them, you can always load the saved game.
The Pokemon X and Y share the same third legendary Pokemon, Zygarde. Other than that, you can also find the Mewtwo, another legendary Pokemon in the game. Both Pokemons can be found in a cave. Zygarde would be hiding in Terminus Cave while Mewtwo would be hiding in an Unknown Cave. The Mewtwo in the Pokemon X and Y is the same as from the previous game, the only difference is the Mewtwo would have mega evolution Mewtwo X or Mewtwo Y depending of which version of Pokemon X or Y game. Zygarde is a Dragon/Ground-type Pokemon and is very weak to Ice-type attacks and weak to Dragon and Fairy-type attacks. It takes half damage from Fire, Poison and Rock and is immune to Electric
In the Pokemon X and Y, there are version exlusive Pokemon. The version exclusive Pokemon in Pokemon X would be Xerneas while in Pokemon Y, Yvetal is the version exclusive Pokemon. Both of these Pokemon can be found at the same place in each version of the game. There is a room in Team Flare’s lab. Like we mentioned earlier, be sure to save the game and avoid killing the Pokemon since this would your only chance to capture the Pokemon. Make sure you use the correct type of Pokemon during the battle. Xerneas is a Fairy-type Legendary so it is weak to Poison and Steel and takes half damage from Fighting, Bug and Dark Type attacks. It is immune to Dragon. Yveltal is a Dark and Flying-type Legendary so it is weak to Electric, Ice, Rock and Fairy and takes half damage from Grass, Ghost and Dark-type attacks. It is immune to Ground and Psychic.
You won’t be able to catch other legendary pokemon. Some legendary Pokemon can be obtained from trades while others can be obtained from NPCs. If you choose to trade, you can find legendary Pokemon from the GTS or the Global Trade System. While NPCs would cost you Pokedollar, they might only show you the Pokemon. Which would get your Pokedex updated and you would still need to trade at GTS to actually get the legendary Pokemon you desire.
