Valve has been quiet about Half Life 3, but at least fans do know that there is going to be a follow up game to Half Life 2, which many gamers completed more than a decade ago. We heard that the big gap in-between the series may have been down to Valve working hard on developing Source Engine 2.
It this turns out to be the case then you can expect Half Life 3 to be the flagship game for the Source 2 Engine. With this in mind one of the things that fans are asking is what might the engine bring to the game.
Gamers only need to look at Half Life 1 and Half Life 2 and the graphics, as these were on the Source engine and they were stunning.
The Source 2 Engine should have been improved a great deal thanks to new technology and this should mean that the gaming experience will be better.
Half Life 3 will be able to bring out the best out of the Source engine. A great way of showing off what it can do would be to have a chopper gunner mission which could show off highly detailed graphics.
Perhaps Valve will make the interaction in Half Life 3 more complex as the physics could be vastly improved upon. This would then lead to gameplay that would be more realistic.
When the Source 2 Engine comes out jaws should drop and there should be some drooling. The large fan base of Valve is eagerly waiting for Valve to make an announcement about the game soon.
