One of the biggest titles in the gaming industry is the Half Life series of games. The franchise consists of best-selling titles and these have won many Game of the Year awards. Fans are now anxiously waiting for the third title in the series, which should be called Half Life 3.
Gamers have been waiting to get their hands on Half Life 3 for around a decade now and recently Newell spoke out and gave fans some clarification.
Digital Journal saw a statement from the co-founder of Valve which seemed to show that Half Life 3 isn’t being developed at the moment. Gabe Newell said that there is more to Valve than just Half Life 3 and there are many games that the company want to develop.
Valve had been keeping news about Half Life 3 under wraps and over the past ten years have not given anything away about the game.
Newell said that Half Life 3 is just one possibility and said “…the key is to just continue to follow where the customers are leading.” However fans have been after Half Life 3 for a long time now so if Newell means this the game could be in development or should soon be.
The Half Life series has been competing against such as Halo and Call of Duty by delivering a first person shooter that is unique by allowing players to defend against an alien invasion.
