Everyone knows that there is no better place to pull off a scam than the internet. In the past many hundreds of thousands have been victim and there is no doubt that in the future there will be many more to come. Scams come in all shapes and forms and they usually resolve around something hot, such as Half Life 3. However what is interesting about this particular story is that this isn’t a scam but a good deed that just sounds too good to be true.
Gamers are waiting eagerly for the game to arrive and they have been doing so for around a decade. The latest it seems involves Half Life 3 as it is said that if you donate $50 you can get the game for free when it arrives.
Apparently there are 2,000 copies up for grabs as this is all that is being made. So gamers who don’t want to miss out can head over to G2A to donate and reserve their copy.
What is even funnier is the tagline. The site is talking about this as though it is some kind of bake sale for charity. The webmaster says that gamers can secure the game while at the same time help children. Well we can’t scoff at that last part.
Valve has not announced Half Life 3 yet and so it doesn’t look as though it will be here anytime soon. So please proceed with donating but don’t get your hopes up on actually getting a copy of HL3 in the mail, anytime soon that is.
