Rockstar acted quickly against hackers who tried their best to ruin the economy of GTA 5. They took them all out of the lobby and put them in a cheaters lobby, where they have been held ever since.
After the capture of the hackers Rockstar began to roll out the update 1.09, which is said to be restoring GTA Online back to what it was before the hackers invaded. The game is said to be more secure as Rockstar have put new DNS coding in it.
But the hackers retaliated and on Reddit it was said that they are working hard to crack the new security feature. All network security can be hacked but the developer has assured fans that it should take a long time before hackers are able to breach GTA Online.
Rockstar did say that hackers are smart but still the developer has promised that should they get into the lobbies of GTA Online there wouldn’t be much that they could do as tweaking has been done so as to prevent them going for another economic collapse.
Rockstar said that they would continue working on the security of the game to make sure that it provided a safe gaming experience for all users.
One of the biggest changes that has been made is players cannot pass money about. Bounties have also received a cap at $9,000 and now that the hack money is out of the way, Rockstar are able to start introducing new DLCs to the game.
