With the arrival of the Subaru WRX STi the market received a huge boost and now we decided to see how well it goes up against the 2015 Audi S3.
Both of these cars have the same horse power at 296 and with the 2015 Audi S3 you get AWD which does happen to show its sophisticated side. For this you do have to pay £4, 250 more than when choosing to go for the Subaru WRX STi though, so bear this in mind.
There is plenty of platinum and mirrors on the 2015 Audi S3 and the Subaru WRX STi offers the big rear wing and a large bonnet vent. If it is great style that you want then you would have to go for the Audi. It also comes with Drive Select so that the owner can easily fine tune the throttle, steering and dampers. With the Subary WRX STi you get the SI-Drive controller for making fine tuning to the throttle response along with making changes to the centre differentials and the aggressiveness of it.
If it is large cargo space that you want then it may be the Subaru WRX STi that gets your vote as this offer 70 litres more than what is offered with the 2015 Audi S3. With the seating in place the boot length is 100cm and if you fold them you get 176cm. The load height of the vehicle is 107cm and clearance under the lid of the boot is 7cm.
The winner here has to be the 2015 Audi S3 as it does look the most expensive and it is the most expensive but you can offset this with lower running costs and high residual value. Other factors that put it ahead are the fact that the engine is faster and it is cleaner looking and more comfortable.
The Subaru WRX STi does offer great grip on the road and it does have an engine that is superb for sound, what lets it down is the fuel efficiency and it does have a somewhat outdated cabin.
