The Tesla Model S and the BMW i3 are two of the best EVs in the market today. However, it is the latter that has the best electric mileage which is at 89MPGe. On the flipside of things, it is the Model S that has more to offer.
A research firm revealed that the difference in electric mileage between both vehicles is only at 16%. Breaking down the numbers, it is understood that the Tesla Model S falls behind due to its bigger structure and also because of its heavier weight.
It seems that losing 16% in efficiency won’t matter much considering that the Tesla Model S has a longer distance range thanks to its larger battery pack. To compare both cars in this field, the Model S boasts a travel distance of 265miles and the i3 at 81miles.
Besides, the Tesla Model S is also more comfortable and spacious inside the cabin. 16% translates to an additional $8 a month on average, everyone is encouraged to pick up the Tesla Model S.
