Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Mega 6.3: Oversized Smartphones Comparison

Samsung literally owns the phablet industry as it produces countless giant smartphones that have served the masses well. The latest Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a great example of a powerful phablet and so is the Galaxy Mega 6.3. Which is better?

In terms of price, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 cost $545. The Mega 6.3 is much cheaper as it comes with a smaller $415 price tag.

Looking at the display, the Mega sports a 6.3” screen that produces 233ppi. The Note 3 has a smaller but sharper 5.7” screen that produces 386ppi. Both phablets are equipped with the same 3200mAh battery but the Note 3 is able to last longer thanks to its smaller screen.

The Galaxy Mega 6.3 runs on the Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.5GB RAM. While it might sound decent, the Mega is not as fast as the Note 3. The latter runs on a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB RAM.

Obviously, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the better device. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 is nothing more than a phablet built for the mid-tier market.
