The Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5 and the Range Rover Sport are three of the best luxury SUVs in the world right now. The X5, in particular, had just been released by BMW and the second-generation vehicle wishes to take back its throne as the best luxury SUV around.
However, it is no easy task. The Porsche Cayenne, in particular, has an exceptional handling that even the new X5 and the Range Rover Sport couldn’t match. The Cayenne might look like an a huge SUV but when on the sharp turns, the vehicle offers the best grip on the road like that of a sports car. This is amazing considering the fact that the Macan runs on a V8 engine and weighs 5kg more than the X5.
On the other hand, both the X5 and Range Rover Sport are equipped with a third row of seats. This enables both vehicles to accommodate a total of 7-heads at once. Then again, such a feature can have undesired effects on the rear air-suspension.
When off the road, all three vehicles are able to take on the harsh terrains with ease. However, it is the Range Rover Sport that is best in the class since it is equipped with Land Rover’s hallmark Terrain Response system. This enables it to adjust the suspensions based on the challenges it faces through the touch of a button.
In short, all three vehicles are tailored to meet different needs that it is hard to single out a winner. The Porsche Cayenne might be a sports car living under the shell of an SUV but off the roads, there is no challenging the Range Rover Sport. Then again, it is the BMW X5 that offers the best fuel economy.
