Nokia Lumia 1020 vs iPhone 5S: Two Different World Collides

Nokia might not be the biggest name in the smartphone industry but it is a fast growing brand. The latest Lumia 1020 is basically why Nokia is coming back from the dead as the device exhibits power and beauty like no other. Today, we shall see how it compares to the Apple iPhone 5S.

For starters, the Lumia 1020 operates on Windows Mobile 8 while the iPhone 5S runs on the iOS 7. The former is powered by a dual-core, 1500MHz , Krait processor with 2GB of RAM while the latter runs on the Apple A6 processor with 2GB RAM.

When putting both devices side-by-side, the Lumia is the larger of the two as it comes with a bigger 4.5” screen that runs at 334ppi. This is sharper than the 326ppi produced by the iPhone 5S’ 4” screen.

The game changer is with the Lumia 1020’s camera, which is a whopping 41MP rear shooter. This about 5 times better than that on the iPhone 5S. Furthermore, the Lumia 1020 has support for microSD whereas with the iPhone, one has to select and stick to the internal storage option.

All in all, the Lumia 1020 is much better than the iPhone 5S and also cheaper. Of course, the Windows OS won’t be as good as the iOS running the iPhone 5S.
