New Mazda CX-5 Interior Facelift Inspired By BMW?

If there is a Japanese carmaker that is showing huge progress in car designs, it is Mazda. The company is currently developing the upcoming CX-5 Facelift and the car simply looks enticing.

On the outside, the changes are very subtle as the Mazda feel that the existing Kodo-design language on the CX-5 still looks great. Inside the vehicle, one will notice some huge changes.

As how it is pictured above, the new interior that is designed for the CX-5 facelift will have a neater dashboard. Mazda revealed that they hate the idea of cluttered buttons populating the centre console and have replaced them with the infotainment system.

Speaking of which, the touchscreen panel is no longer embedded on the centre console. Instead, the slate pops out from above the centre dashboard and stands in place. This particular feature is influenced by BMW and it resulted in a sleeker interior design.

Of course, there are more to the CX-5 than the new looking dashboard and details on this are expected to come later this year.
