Mitsubishi Lancer Evo: A Blast From The Past

And the very first US spec 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition has been sold…to a winning bid of $46, 200! Mitsubishi auctioned off its #US001 in hopes to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society this weekend, and thus, held the sports car on eBay.

The bidding price started at $37,201.05 and when it ended at 10:00pm Saturday, 21st of November, the #US0001 was sold for $46,200. The winning bidder would be able to collect the car in Cyprus, California at Mitsubishi Motors North America headquarters. The Evolution headed to the charity auction is one of the first 1,600 Final Editions destined to make it to the US market, each of which has specific modifications, like a specific numbered plaque on the centre console.

The Lancer Evolution Final Edition features a 303-horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque, with enhanced stopping performance with lightweight two-piece Brembo brakes as well as Bilstein suspensions and Eibach springs at all four corners. The proud, new owner of the Evolution paid an $8,999 premium to drive home this beauty. No wonder car enthusiasts around the world are mourning for the “death” of Lancer Evolution cars, as they’ll be gone forever once the 1,600 are sold off this year.
