A new reveal made by Daimler’s Wolf-Dieter Kurz confirms that Mercedes is planning to take the roof off its SUV. In other words, there is going to be a convertible SUV coming out in the near future.
Well, if the German luxury carmaker is really serious about making an SUV with robo-roof, it is important for them to do a bit of homework. The least Mercedes could do is check on the history of the Nissan Murano Convertible and the Jeep Wrangler Convertible.
One of the two bathed in success while the other is stamped as a failure. This is important since the convertible SUV market is still limited and one can either make it or break it.
