Mercedes is about to introduce a totally new product called the AMG Sport. This upcoming addition will sit above the AMG Sports Package and below the complete AMG cars.
Mercedes revealed that the AMG Sport trim will start off with two vehicles that are due to arrive next year. One of them is going to be the next-gen GLE Coupe while the other is going to be the C450 AMG Sport.
Obviously, the latter is going to be the biggest challenge for the BMW X6. It will come with a more powerful engine than the 3L twin-turbo V6 engine that generates 329hp on the GLE 400. On the other hand, the engine will sit below the 570 hp 5.5 litre twin-turbo V8 on the GLE 63 AMG
With that being said, we can see a trend that Mercedes is picking up for the upcoming GLE. After all, Land Rover’s Range Rover is offering something similar with the Evoque Coupe variant.
