Maserati GranTurismos Won’t Stay Shut, Prompts Recall

Maserati will be forced to issue a recall to recall back their GranTurismo after it was reported that some models might have some issue with the door latches refusing to stay shut.

It was reported that the door latches on the affected model might not have been heating treated correctly which could lead to the door swinging open when the car crashes. The door latch that they are referring to is the one on the passenger side. A total of 135 units of the Maserati GranTurismo model will be recalled.

Affected Maserati GranTurismo models will include those that has been build in between the 24th of June 2015 until the 2nd of September 2015. The affected models will be recalled to get their passenger side door latch assembly replaced for free.

The owners of the affected model will be notified by Maserati. Owners may also contact Maserati to get more information on the recall.
