Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat: The Nuts & Bolts

If there’s one thing we’re dying to see it happening, it’s the 707-horsepower Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat. With the confirmed reports of the Trackhawk, apparently it’s going to be really, really fast. But why hasn’t it happened already?

The 6.2-litre supercharged Hemi-powered Jeep car really doesn’t seem to be built easily, but since Dodge did it with the Charger and Challenger, there should be no issues with the Jeep. Nah. Starting with feeding the air-intensive beast, to generating the 707-horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, the Jeep has some really risky engineering problems.

With that being said, the Hellcat’s hood may also need to be raised or re-sculpted so it can fit in the Hellcat engine, just because it’s taller. This Jeep will also hit somewhere near 200 mph, allegedly. But it might not be, because the quickest of the Hellcat cars is still the Charger sedan. And also, it’s all due to the sub-optimal aerodynamics, so, it really wouldn’t be able to overtake the high speed of the Dodges.

Though historically, the SRT Jeep has been ever so popular among the SRT models, the sales for the Hellcat would most likely be there too. In the meantime, let’s just try to believe that it will be happening really soon, and that it will be the quickest Hellcat vehicle yet.
