Ford Recalls 300k cars, and More to Come

1998-2003 Windstar minivans owners should be ready to get their cars taken back as Ford is recalling more 300 000 cars in the U.S. for several damages which include cruise-control problems, rusting axles, transmission defects and fuel leaks. Ford is planning to install “reinforcement brackets” that were poorly installed between 2010 and 2012 but would not be responsible for the sudden fractured axle.

This time, Ford is recalling those Windstars to change the axles with bad brackets. Only Windstars that are registered in 23 states and the District of Columbia are given the privilege, since the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration limits it to specific regions only. The fuel tank for 2016 Lincoln MKZ and Fusion sedans will be replaced on more than 600 cars in the U.S due to poor manufacturing that gives the chance to the tank to crack during a crash.

In addition, faulty bolts on other Ford models will be replaced as well since the bolts attaching the shift lever to the transmission could cause trouble to the vehicles.
