Chrysler The Latest To Recall 566,000 Vehicles

American carmaker, Chrysler has announced on a recall earlier today, which affects more than 566,000 vehicles. The models affected consist of SUVs and trucks and it is due to a faulty part that puts the vehicle at risk of catching fire.

In detail, Chrysler revealed that the vehicles are suspected to be suffering from malfunctioning fuel heaters that can lead to a fire, and a software glitch can disable the electronic stability control.

Breaking down the numbers, 382,000 units are the RAM 2500 and 3500 pickups and Ram 4500 and 5500 chassis cabs from 2010 through 2014. The truck affected is the 6.7L Cummins diesel engines. Also, 184,000 units of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango from 2014 are called upon as well.

Chrysler concluded by confirming that they have already notified the issue to the car owners and hope for the vehicles to be inspected at the nearest service centre.
